Northern Enterprise Awards Win

The Centre for Contemporary Storytelling and Rupert Creed have won Best Cultural Heritage & Theatrical Entertainment Production Company 2022 and Freelance Theatre Director of the Year 2022.

Jason says "It was a pleasure to be Lighting Designer for 'Turn and Face the Strange - The Story of Mick Robson' and for 'Turning the Tide' working alongside all the other great creatives. Congratulations to The Centre for Contemporary Storytelling and Rupert Creed".

Jason is thrilled to reveal his new logo design. "I approached Matt Digital Design to create a new logo for me to be used across my digital and print marketing. I'm delighted with the results."

ALD Lumiere 20:20

Jason is delighted to be joining the ALD Lumiere Scheme 20:20, this time as a mentor to an emerging Lighting Designer. "As a graduate of the scheme i'm delighted to be supporting this 2020 version of the scheme and working along side all the other great LD's"

The Great British Pantomime Awards

Jason is delighted to have been nominated for Best Lighting at the 2020 Great British Pantomime Awards for the production of Beauty and the Beast at the Gordan Craig Theatre, Stevenage. Congratulations to all the nominees.

End of a Fantastic Year

Yesterday was Jason's last day as the ALD Lumiere at The ALD. "What an incredible year it has been. I’ve seen some great productions. I’ve worked with incredible designers and creative teams and even managed to design some shows myself. Big THANKS to Katharine Williams, the ALD and everyone involved! Heres to the next chapter"

One of the Herd

Jason is excited to be joining The Herd as Associate Artist. The Herd bring children, young people and families together in playful spaces to watch and share stories.

"After working with the company as a Technician when they toured into Hull Truck Theatre and lighting their production of Wired Differently, I'm delighted to be joining the company as an associate artist and looking forward to future productions."

Jason was recently joined by a year 10 student on work experience. "Great to inspire future generations in the industry job I love. With a little encouragement people can go a long way!"

ALD Lumiere Scheme 2018

Jason is delighted to have been chosen to be the next participant of the ALD's Lumiere Scheme. Jason will work alongside and assist various lighting designers over the course of a year throughout the UK including 6 months working at Chichester Festival Theatre.

Association

Jason is now Associate Lighting Designer at three different companies.

"I feel privileged to now be an Associate at Chapterhouse Theatre Company, Rhubarb Theatre and Rich Seam Theatre Company. Three different Companies producing a range of work from Classics, Children's and Community Projects throughout the UK and Internationally."
